Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts

It is known that universities, and therefore institutions providing professional music education, have three important duties: to provide quality education and training, to conduct scientific studies, and to bring to life scientific and artistic practices that contribute to and enrich society. In awareness of these duties, our faculty continues its educational activities with a new and distinct enthusiasm.

Operating as the State Conservatory between 2021 and 2024, and from the 2024-2025 academic year onward within the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, our academics who are experts in their fields train our students with dedication, conduct scientific work that contributes to musical science and culture (books, articles, papers, projects, etc.), and, most importantly, carry out countless scientific and artistic events (recitals, concerts, performances, conferences, workshops, masterclasses, summer and winter schools, talks, etc.) both to serve society and to enhance the students’ experience.

This entire process enables our faculty’s students to live as self-confident individuals who are motivated on the path to becoming the artists, scientists, and educators of the future, and who develop, change, gain culture, and enrich the culture around them.

We want you to know that, on our way to becoming a faculty where musical emotions are blended with love, alongside our academics we also have the support of music and art figures from across the country and the world working together with us. This togetherness especially helps our students build connections and enables them to look to the future with greater hope.

We are fully confident that we will train, to a level that makes its presence felt on the international stage, our students who wish to develop themselves in education, performance, composition, research, and conducting regardless of musical genre, and who embrace music as a profession.

Our faculty provides education with an understanding that holds national and spiritual values, that values contemporaneity in method and technique, that works in a multifaceted and multidimensional way on the path to becoming universal, and most importantly, that carries the scent of Anatolia and brings that scent together with the world.
