Biography

Turkish violinist Ada Yalın Yücel has quickly come to the fore internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, as one of the most promising young talents of her generation. Beginning her education in Mersin and continuing with Lily Tchumburidze, Yücel then studied with Salvatore Accardo at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, and currently continues her education in the class of Dora Bratchkova at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts. Having taken part in master classes with important names such as Viktoria Mullova and Mischa Maisky, the artist has won first prizes in many international competitions, performed at important festivals in Europe, and gained the privilege of giving concerts with a rare 1734 Guarneri del Gesù violin. Taking the stage as a soloist with leading orchestras, Yücel was named “Rising Star” at Is Sanat in 2024 and became the recipient of the “Meriç Soylu Special Prize.” An Enka Sanat scholarship holder, Yücel continues her career on an international scale in the 2025/26 season with concerts featuring world premieres of new works and major violin concertos, and currently plays a 1764 Januarius Gagliano violin.
