World-renowned pianist Idil Biret has been appointed by UNESCO as an Ambassador for Culture and Peace. In this role, Biret will work to promote music education worldwide.
Saying, “Music is a universal language and the most powerful tool for peace,” Biret noted that she will focus especially on music education projects in disadvantaged regions.
